epa07653655 European Commissioner for Trade Cecilia Malmstrom gives a press conference on the annual report on worldwide trade and investment barriers in Brussels, Belgium, 17 June 2019. The European Commission's report confirms the continuous rise in barriers encountered by European companies in foreign markets. Some 123 of such barriers have been reportedly eliminated since the beginning of the current Commission mandate, allowing for more than six billion euro extra exports in 2018.
